Frenger are proud to have supplied Exposed 'Free Hanging' Modula Radiant Heating Panels to the Newcastle University Sports Centre.

Frenger were selected to supply their Exposed 'Free Hanging' Modula Radiant Heating Panels as shown above to provide comfortable, affordable and energy-efficient heating within the Sports Hall.

The hall includes a spectating gallery so that both the universities own teams as well as visiting teams can be cheered on and it also boasts a 'basketball show court' as well as catering for:

  • Badminton (eight courts)
  • Basketball (two courts)
  • Volleyball (two courts)
  • Futsal (two courts)
  • Handball (two courts)
  • Netball (two courts)
  • Table Tennis

Frenger's Exposed 'Free Hanging' Modula range of Radiant Heating Panels offer a great solution for heating larger areas such as sports centres & halls, industrial buildings and double height commercial buildings.

Radiant Heat exchangers provide energy within the areas you want to heat therefore no energy is used to heat the surrounding air. Due to this the heating costs are considerably lowered.

As Frenger's Exposed 'Free Hanging' Modula does not contain fans or other moving parts, air movement or feeling of discomfort caused by draught or air noise is significantly reduced. The need for ongoing maintenance is also minimised, which means their product can be installed in areas that are difficult to access and can be installed both at high and low installation heights.

Frenger's Exposed 'Free Hanging' Modula Radiant Heating Panels are available as 'SP' (Standard Performance) and 'HP' (High Performance) and all panels have fully welded and linished corners for superior aesthetics.

Each panel is constructed from smooth-faced Zintec steel, extruded aluminium heat exchanger pipe seats and 15mm OD copper coils that are produced in-house on Frenger's state of the art full CNC Serpentine Bend Machine from thousand meter drums of copper to make the heating coils without any joints what so ever and to safe guard against risks of leakage. Frenger can provide tube centres as close as 70mm. Panels are insulated with high density (45 kg/m3) class 'O' foil 'wrapped' mineral wool insulation.

The technology employed in the construction of all Frenger's radiant heating panels result in very high heating capacity, all of which are designed, developed and tested in Frenger's in house Climatic Test Laboratories and are also Independently Tested and Certified to EN13047.
