Active Chilled Beams
Located on the first floor of the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital, the Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI) Gynaecology ward was supplied with Frenger's range of ceiling integrated Active Chilled Beam units.
The ACBs used on this project were designed to contribute virtually no detectable noise to the occupied spaces below, with sound pressure levels which can be below 25dB.
It has been proven that high levels of ambient noise in patient rooms can have a negative impact upon patients and their health and wellbeing. These potential impacts can range from a lack of sleep, elevated blood pressure, or even extended recovery times.
