Passive Chilled Beams

Opened in summer 2015, the Gatwick Pier One was a £183 Million (GBP) two-storey redevelopment built on the grounds of the previously existing South Terminal Pier 1, which was in service for over 50 years since it opened in 1962.

Part of a larger £1.2 Billion (GBP) investment into reinventing Gatwick as a world-leading airport, the 2,500m² Pier One terminal comprises 5 aircraft stands, a new baggage facility with an early bag store, and an airfield and apron expansion.

Frenger® supplied their 'Radiant' Passive Multi-Service Chilled Beams with integrated LED lighting to the new building, providing passengers with high levels of Thermal Comfort as they board or deplane.
